Final Project - Brief Description

For my Final Project, I would like to create a self-portrait inspired by the influences of Dutch painter, Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring and by contemporary artist, Kehinde Wiley whose “…signature portraits of everyday men and women riff on specific paintings by Old Masters.”  

Oil on canvas is used by both artists to create their striking portraits.  I will consult with Grace to determine the best medium to use for my self-portrait.
